Bloodlines & Houses
Grayson Gilbert
A doctor and a Founders' Council member who raised his brother's daughter as his own and never told her. He also, quietly, experimented on captured vampires in the basement of the hospital — the Gilberts are not a clean family.
He and his wife Miranda died when their car went off Wickery Bridge. Stefan reached the car first; Grayson told him to take Elena and refused to be saved himself.
Details
- Jeremy and Elena both find out about the basement years later, which recontextualises their entire childhood.
