Vampires
Jeremy Gilbert
Elena's younger brother, orphaned at fifteen, and one of the last potential members of the Brotherhood of the Five. When Connor Jordan dies, Jeremy's hunter's mark activates and grows with every vampire he kills — a living map to Silas and the cure, burned into his skin.
He dies repeatedly. He is brought back by a Bennett witch's ring, then killed by Silas on the island, then resurrected in a way that starts breaking the Other Side. He kills Kol Mikaelson with white oak and takes a whole sireline with him. He turns up in Legacies as a hunter working with the Salvatore School.
Details
- His hunter's instinct compels him to kill vampires, including Elena, which is a problem the show handles bluntly.
- He is one of only three characters from the TVD pilot to turn up in Legacies — alongside Matt and Vicki Donovan.
