- Damon escaped by leaving Enzo to burn, which is a debt the show collects on, at length, twenty years of story later.
- Damon and Enzo were kept in cages, bled and cut open for years, and told it was research.
- Damon escaped in 1958 and left Enzo in a burning building. Enzo survived and spent fifty years in captivity working out what he would say.
- Dr. Wes Maxfield revives the programme at Whitmore in the 2010s and invents a vampire that feeds on other vampires.
