Death & Afterlives · Era VII, The Legacies
Malivore
A pit made by a witch, a vampire and a werewolf — the triad — to swallow monsters and erase them from the world entirely. It works: anything Malivore consumes is forgotten by everyone who ever knew it. It has been eating the supernatural for centuries, which is a tidy explanation for why the first two shows never mentioned dragons.
Details
- Every monster Legacies fights is something Malivore already swallowed once and is trying to get back.
- Its golden mud is the show's most consistent visual, and the erasure mechanic is the smartest thing it invents.
- Built by a triad — a witch, a vampire and a werewolf, one from each species — to erase monsters from existence.
- Malivore's erasure is total: when it takes something, every record and every memory of it goes too. Characters keep re-learning facts they already knew.
- Landon and Clarke are both Malivore's sons, made to be its retrieval agents.
