A foster kid with no idea what he is, who turns out to be the son of Malivore — the pit built to erase monsters from the world — and a phoenix, which means he resurrects every time he is killed, and he is killed a lot.
He is what the pit wants back, and he is the show's argument that being a monster is a job description rather than a nature. He and Hope are the central relationship of Legacies — and in the end his resurrections stop: he stays dead, and takes over as the Ferryman of Limbo.

- Raised in foster care with Rafael Waithe, who is a werewolf and the person he trusts most.
- His half-brother Clarke is Malivore's other son and considerably worse at being a person.
