Vampires · Era VI, The Mikaelson Wars
The Prophecy & the Beast
A prophecy: the Mikaelsons will fall — one by friend, one by foe, one by family. Lucien engineers his half of it, refining Esther's original magic into a serum that makes him an upgraded Original whose bite kills even them. Tristan and Aurora take their own runs at it. All three of the first vampires the family ever made come home to bury them.
Details
- Lucien's serum is later used on Marcel, which is how a bite becomes the only non-white-oak way to kill a Mikaelson.
- Every prophecy in this franchise comes true, but never in the way the person avoiding it expects. That is the entire genre working correctly.
- The prophecy is delivered by the witch Alexis and comes true in every particular, exactly as everyone tries to prevent it.
- Lucien takes a serum derived from Esther's original spell and becomes stronger than the Originals. Marcel takes the same serum later.
- Aurora survives everything and is sealed in a box. She is out again by Legacies.
