Qetsiyah's purgatory: a mirror of the living world where every supernatural being goes when it dies — able to see everything, touch nothing, and wait. It was built to trap one man. Everybody else who died supernatural for two thousand years was collateral damage.
Details
- Humans do not go there. They find peace. Only the supernatural get filed.
- It runs on two things: the Anchor, and Bennett magic. Both are exhaustible, which is the whole problem.
- Because it exists, death in this franchise is a temporary administrative state for roughly five seasons.
- Ghosts on the Other Side can be seen by Bonnie, by Jeremy after his resurrection, and by anyone standing near a strong enough witch on a strong enough night.
- Because it exists, the show can kill anyone and bring them back for five seasons. When it goes, the stakes change permanently and the tone of the last three seasons changes with it.
