Origins & Immortals · Era V, The Doppelgänger War
Silas Rises
Desiccated for two thousand years, Silas walks out wearing Stefan's face — because Stefan is his doppelgänger — and starts dismantling the Other Side so he can die and be with Amara. Qetsiyah, calling herself Tessa, comes back to stop him. Both are dead within the year, and the damage they do is permanent.
Details

- Stefan spends a summer at the bottom of a quarry in a safe. The show does not really recover his character from it, and says so.
- Qetsiyah returns as "Tessa" and immediately starts a fight she has been waiting two thousand years for.
- Silas throws Stefan, in a safe, into a quarry, and leaves him there for three months. Stefan comes out with no memory and never really recovers.
