Finn Mikaelson
The eldest surviving Mikaelson son, and the only one who considered vampirism an abomination from the first day. Klaus daggered him for roughly nine hundred years. When he woke in 2012 he immediately sided with Esther in her plan to kill the entire family, including himself.
He is killed with white oak in 2012, and his whole sireline dies with him — which is how everyone in the story learns the rule that governs the rest of the franchise. He returns later possessing a body in New Orleans, as a witch, and dies again.

- Sage, the vampire he loved in the 12th century, dies at the same moment he does because she was in his line.
- Nine hundred years in a box means he has, in lived time, barely been an adult.
