The second Mikaelson daughter — Freya was born first and stolen — and the one who says out loud what the family is: a group of people who love each other badly and will not let each other leave. She has wanted to be human since the first season she appears in. Klaus daggered her repeatedly — decades at a time — for loving the wrong people, starting with Marcel in New Orleans in 1919 and continuing for another century.
She summoned Mikael to New Orleans hoping he would free her from Klaus, and it cost her everything. She ends the story promised the cure, planning a mortal life with Marcel, and she is the character who most obviously earned it.

- She turned Aurora de Martel against Klaus's explicit wishes, which is a grudge still running a thousand years later.
- She hid Hope for the first year of her life, in secret, from everyone including most of her own family.
- She appears in Legacies to help Hope through her transition, which closes a circle that opened in a Mystic Falls high school.
