Born to an enslaved woman and the man who owned her, taken in by Klaus as a boy and named Marcellus — "the little warrior." Klaus raised him, Rebekah loved him, and in 1919 Klaus abandoned him believing him dead. Marcel took the city instead and held it for a hundred years.
