Bloodlines & Houses · Era VII, The Legacies
The Salvatore School
The Salvatore boarding house, funded with Mikaelson money and run by Alaric Saltzman, turned into a school for young witches, vampires and wolves — somewhere supernatural children learn to hide in plain sight rather than be hunted for what they are. Caroline Forbes co-founds it and spends most of Legacies recruiting off-screen.
Details
- It is the franchise's one genuinely optimistic idea: the thing that killed all these people is now a curriculum.
- Matt Donovan is still the sheriff. Jeremy Gilbert turns up. Mystic Falls never lets anyone leave.
- The school takes in witches, vampires and wolves and hides them behind a cloaking spell and a boarding-school prospectus.
- Dorian Williams runs the library; Emma Tig is the school counsellor and a witch; Matt Donovan is the sheriff who covers for them.
- It is Caroline's idea and Klaus's money, which is a sentence that would have made no sense to anyone in 2010.
